Öblarn – Wörschach: Put-ins, take-outs and highlights
By this stage the Enns has grown into a medium-sized river. Expect gentle water grade 2 to 3. There are hardly any obstacles in the middle of the river, but you should still stay alert, as every river is constantly changing.
Special features
This section is characterised by easy to moderate moving water. The beautiful landscape offers plenty of variety, along with numerous culinary, historical, alpine and sporting attractions such as castles, gorges, castle ruins and mountain hikes.

Your put-in for the fourth stage is directly under the bridge in Gstatt on the right bank. Parking is available next to the bridge on the left side of the river.
Exit 1
If you are returning by train, it is best to finish this fourth stage on the right, directly under the bridge of the main road in Wörschach. From there it is about 150 m to the railway station.
Exit 2
For anyone who has arranged a transfer by car or taxi, there is a take-out 100 m after the bridge on the right-hand side, directly after the mouth of the Gulling, at the prominent sandbank.
Stages
Below the mouth of the Sölkbach the Enns becomes noticeably wider and calmer and, depending on the water level, turns into a fast-flowing but gentle river.
For the first few kilometres there are only a few places to land, as the bankside vegetation is very dense. At higher water levels it is therefore best to stay in the middle of the river to avoid unpleasant contact with branches and plants.
Depending on the water level, there are also some smaller wave trains here, but they should not cause you any problems.
After that the banks open up again. On the left you now have a majestic view of the imposing Grimming – a sight that is sure to thrill you. After about 4 km through a wonderfully beautiful river landscape you reach the mouth of the Salza near Niederöblarn. It is best to land on the left here, take a closer look at the conditions and decide how best to continue. The Enns is constantly finding a new route through the sandbank, so new obstacles and challenges keep appearing that deserve a closer look.
While you are here you will also discover a superb spot for a break – between you and us, it is one of the most beautiful rest stops on the entire tour.
After the confluence, the first section of this fourth stage ends on the right-hand side of the river. The sports area with the airfield and the railway station is close by.

Between Niederstuttern and Trautenfels you can once again enjoy moving water at its finest. If you would like to visit Schloss Trautenfels with its interesting museum, it is best to land under the bridge.
