Extension to Lauferbrücke: Put-ins, take-outs and highlights
From Admont you can extend the trip by around 6.3 km to the Lauferbrücke in the Krumau. From here on it gets really sporty, and this final section should only be tackled by experienced long-distance paddlers.
If you have the necessary skills, you will discover one of the most beautiful but also most demanding sections, through the unspoilt Krumau just before the Gesäuse National Park. The current is noticeably stronger here, and you should pay particular attention to the eddy lines so that you don’t capsize.
At the Lauferbrücke you have reached the end of your Enns river trip; take out on the right-hand side.
Caution: Beyond the Lauferbrücke lies the entrance to the Gesäuse with extreme whitewater – there is a danger to life here! Be sure to end your river trip on the Enns at this point and keep it as a wonderful memory.
Access
In Admont, on the left after the road bridge, at the mouth of the Eßlingbach.
Exit
Lauferbrücke in the Krumau, right bank – you must get out here. It is the last take-out before the Gesäuse.
